The Community at Ladera Ranch
Ladera Ranch is a 4,000 acre master-planned community located in the foothills of the Orange County Saddleback. It is adjacent to Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Rancho Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano.
The community is located just a couple miles east of interstate 5; along Crown Valley Parkway and Antonio Parkway; just north of Ortega Highway.
Construction of Ladera Ranch began in 1999. The community was carved out of the O’Neill, Avery, & Moiso families’ 23,000 acres Rancho Mission Viejo cattle ranch, which was the largest remaining working ranch in Orange County.
Many long time residents of Orange County can remember coming to the valley that Ladera Ranch occupies to pick fresh fruit right from the orange trees.
